Stand Up Paddleboard Colorado River - AM Half Day

Class II whitewater is perfect for stand up paddleboard (SUP) adventures and we have access to some of the most scenic stretches in Colorado. As we paddle through majestic Glenwood Canyon on the Colorado River, the scenery takes center stage. This introductory session will focus on basic skills such as balance, paddling techniques, and navigating swift water. Note: This trip is a great work out and you will most likely go swimming! SUP trips are offered from mid- July through the end of the summer. Includes a riverside lunch.

Recommended Gear

Footwear: Wear shoes that you do not mind getting wet (preferably tennis shoes or sandals with straps). Definitely not flip flops, booties are available upon request. Swimwear: We recommend wearing a bathing suit beneath your shorts, splash pants or wetsuit. Sunscreen/Lip Balm: Sunscreen and lip balm with sunscreen are recommended to prevent sun damage. Sunglasses: Will protect your eyes but be sure not to wear your most expensive pair and bring along Croakies to keep them attached. Croakies are also a must for people that wear prescription eyeglasses. Additional Clothing and Layers: On warm sunny days, we recommend shorts, t-shirt, and a light waterproof shell. On cool overcast days, fleece, a wool sweater or polypropylene is best to keep you drier. It is best not to wear cotton or denim, as these get wet and stay cold. Hooded waterproof shells and pants are helpful if you have them. We provide paddle jackets and pants at no extra charge. Wet suits are also available upon request. Water: Beverages are supplied on all of our trips, however we also recommend that you bring additional water. Extras: Waterproof Camera, Cash for photos, gratuity or additional merchandise.
