INFLATABLE KAYAKS AKA "DUCKIES"
CLASS II/III
 The name Duckies was originally coined to explain how ducks learn to swim by following their mother ducky down the river. The theory is that by observation one can take the best lines without having to be an expert.
Try out the middle section of the Roaring Fork in one of our inflatable kayaks, which are very stable and easy to master. They're perfect as an introduction to kayaking and make smaller whitewater more exciting. Small 12-foot rafts are also available for this section.
The Roaring Fork River meanders through the valley from Independence Pass until it empties into the Colorado River. The Middle section, which begins just 15 miles from Aspen, winds 6 miles through the valley floor, featuring beautiful scenery, wildlife, and exceptional whitewater. Paddle through rapids with names like "Members Hole," "Big Nasty," "Fish Falls," and "Big Drop." Good for beginner to expert paddlers. Time required is 3 1/2-4 hours including transfer-on-river time of 1 1/2 hours.

At Blazing Adventures we believe that a “good ducky trip” needs lots of guides, lots of options, and a focus on each individual learning a skill and having fun.
WE LIKE TO RUN ALL THE RAPIDS
With extra guides, individual attention, and special equipment that allows us to “help” you safely down the river, you will have as much fun doing it as we do!
If you need special attention, you can jump into a “double ducky” with one of our guides who will show you the ropes and build up your skills for the next section of whitewater. If some members of your group are tentative about being in a Ducky – we can take along a raft and the whole family can enjoy this experience. AND, we are only 15 minutes from Aspen/Snowmass.

Choose from a "single" or "double" Ducky.
Children can go with a parent in a "double" Ducky OR with one of our guides.
