WINTER GROUP ACTIVITIES
Dear Meeting Planner, The Aspen/Snowmass area is a great place for your winter groups. We have found that many of the winter groups include non-skiing visitors. Blazing Adventures has a winter collection of “off-slope” activities. You will find that the Aspen/Snowmass area is laden with fascinating history, beautiful mountain surroundings, and opportunities to experience the ultimate in culture and nature.
Enjoy the serenity of the mountains as you learn the joy of snowshoeing. Let our naturalist guides take you along scenic trails as they teach you the fundamentals of this age-old method of winter travel. The extraordinary vistas across snow-capped crags and alpine valleys will fill you with wonder.
Cross-country skiing offers a chance to discover the area from a different vantage point. You can learn this graceful sport on or off a prepared trail. We’ll take you to visit the prepared trails on the Aspen Golf Course or along the Maroon Creek; the Ashcroft Ski Touring Center or into the backcountry with one of our professional guides where you can experience the peacefulness of a day in the backwoods.
If you are fascinated with the mining and cultural history of Aspen and the surrounding areas, take advantage of one of our scenic driving tours. Your Aspen tour guide will enlighten you with an abundance of great facts and figures about those wild times of the silver mining era.
Additional off mountain options include a variety of snowmobile trips on Larkspur Mountain or to the Maroon Bells, fly fishing in our “Gold Medal” rivers, hot air balloon rides, Eskimo dog sled tours complete with a delicious lunch featuring wild game fare, and our group cultural, historical and shopping excursions.
Our Group Services Department looks forward to assisting you in the planning and execution of your group’s alternative winter activities.
Best regards,

Renee Fleisher
