ASPEN SNOWMASS FAQs:
So much to do. And lucky for you, we are your one stop shop! Locals can often be heard saying, “I came for the winters and ended up staying for the summers”. We love the variety of activities and adventure that the summers offer here in Aspen Snowmass. Maybe you want to get the blood pumping on a rafting or mountain bike adventure, or perhaps you’d rather kick back in a Jeep and take it all in. We have those, along with many other options, available for you!
- Rafting – Upper Roaring Fork, Lower Roaring Fork, or Shoshone
- Biking – Maroon Bells
- Sunset Dinners!
After your rafting trip, we recommend taking a scenic gondola ride, going for a hike in the Maroon Bells, or exploring downtown Aspen for some well-deserved post-adventure relaxation.
The Maroon Bells are one of Aspen’s most iconic spots! You can take a shuttle to the Bells from Aspen, or for a more adventurous experience, you can hike or bike up to the area.
Keep your eyes peeled for elk, mule deer, moose, black bears, and a variety of birds as you explore the area. During the early months of the summer wildflowers are lush and colorful making for beautiful scenery!
Aspen can be busy during peak summer months (July and August), but if you prefer a more peaceful experience, we recommend visiting in June or September when the crowds are lighter.
Both Aspen and Snowmass have fantastic bus systems, and both are easy to navigate by bike or on foot. For more convenience, there are also taxi services and private shuttles available.
Aspen sits at about 8,000 feet, so it’s important to stay hydrated and take it easy for the first day or so, especially if you’re not used to high altitudes. Our adventure professionals can also offer tips for adjusting to the elevation.
